Rafael Perez is a Senior Estimator with 30 years of experience in estimating and pre-construction. Rafael is skilled in managing estimating departments, conceptual and hard bid estimating, and maintaining budgets. He is proficient in large-scale estimating formats and is an expert in conducting subcontractor scope leveling and negotiation.

Rafael has a wealth of experience in the construction industry, having worked on various projects across the United States and the Caribbean. He is particularly skilled in providing estimating services for historic buildings in Washington, DC, and has been recognized for his work on the $330 million roadways and utilities project at the Los Angeles World Airport LAX.

Rafael has a proven track record of success in negotiating with general contractors and subcontractors, and his expertise has been sought after in residential projects from California to the Bahamas. Rafael has also managed multiple Ritz Carlton special projects, including the renovation of Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne, Florida, Ritz Carton Philadelphia, Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage, and Marriott Grand Cayman Island.

As an adjunct faculty at Hillsborough Community College, Florida, Rafael has taught building construction courses, inspiring his students to pursue careers in sustainable construction management. Rafael will also coordinate ZGEO’s efforts with Colorado universities to establish vocational training programs for local construction workforce.
